Kazakhstan’s Regulator Approves Toncoin (TON) for Trading
Toncoin (TON) has gained approval for trading on regulated exchanges in Kazakhstan. According to the country’s Financial Services and Regulatory Committee (AFSA), an audit was carried out and the outcome showed that Toncoin (TON) met the AFSA’s listing criteria.
Kazakhstan’s government has approved 107 cryptos, including Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH), TRON (TRX), Polygon (MATIC), Aptos (APT), Stellar (XLM), Avalanche (AVAX), and more. Toncoin (TON) is the native crypto asset of the Open Network. The Open Network, a decentralized network consisting of a layer-1 blockchain, is becoming a popular choice worldwide.
The network delivers in-app payments and Mini Apps through Telegram’s messaging system. TGStat data shows that there are fifty-five million active Telegram users across Kazakhstan. Likewise, the blockchain allows gaming, leading to the emergence of games like Hamster Kombat, Notcoin, Yescoin and TonPotato. Users are engaging in these games to earn supplemental income.
The popularity of Hamster Kombat has led to warnings from authorities across the world. In recent times, the National Agency for Perspective Projects (NAPP) in Uzbekistan warned people about the game.
NAPP said there is no real utility or collateral for Hamster Kombat’s in-game coins, so it is not a typical play-to-earn game. “It is possible, however, that Hamster Kombat coins may move to the blockchain in the future, thereby becoming a crypto asset,” reads the statement.
SlowMist founder Yu Xian said the Open Network is experiencing a rise in phishing attacks due to its integration with the Telegram messaging app.
