Bitfinex Announces Integration with Hidden Road
Crypto exchange Bitfinex has partnered with Hidden Road to enhance exposure of institutions to digital assets. The cryptocurrency exchange announced an integration with the prime brokerage firm on June 13 and is expected to offer its institutional offering with new digital assets and security tools.
Likewise, Bitfinex is expected to offer support to the brokerage firm in introducing or scaling services like derivatives trading, spot trading, P2P financing, over-the-counter (OTC) trading, margin trading and more.
According to the head of business development at Bitfinex Bill Brindise, “we at Bitfinex are proud to offer customers cutting-edge trading features, deep liquidity, and a wide range of trading pairs, all supported by a robust infrastructure fortified with stringent security measures”.
Further, Brindise expressed certainty that Hidden Road’s customers will enjoy exploring the products provided by Bitfinex to help expose institutional and professional investors to digital assets.
About two weeks ago, Hidden Road reportedly stopped allowing its clients to access the ByBit exchange due to differences between the two firms regarding Know Your Customer (KYC) verification procedures and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. It is believed that ByBit’s KYC policies are not solid; the cryptocurrency exchange introduced mandatory KYC for its users last month, only affecting those who want to withdraw over 20k USD daily.
“Integrating with Bitfinex underscores our efforts to enhance access and choice, and we are happy to offer our counterparties access to this preeminent venue,” said Michael Higgins, Hidden Road’s global head of business development.
